WHERE THE RED FERN GROWS - CHAP 9

LETTER TO MY PARENTS:

     Dear Mom and Dad,

     Haven't seen you for a while, how are have you been doing, Mom and Dad? Is my sister still doing well at school? It's been nearly two months already since I went to study in to US, time flies! I'm having a great time at my school, not as I used to worry about before I came here. I wake up with energy and curiosity everyday, curious of learning new things in a new environment that I've never experienced before. I also met many good friends and teachers, who are willing to help me every time I need. 

     Classes are very exciting and influent as teachers are willing to help me with any struggles! School starts at 7 every day with 7 45-minute periods, except for Tuesday and Wednesday, which are block days. The guitar class, in which I really want to take part since long ago, is very interesting! I'm able to learn many techniques and get to know deeper about music, instructed by a very professional guitarist as my teacher. There are 3 meals prepared everyday. At first, I found it a little different and tough to get used to the food, but I guess everything is good now! Weekend activities are very diverse, we're able to go to Walmart, go to the movies, go kayaking,... which make us very joyful!

     However, my main goal coming here is to gain knowledge. I've always been trying to do my best to perform great in academics. It's a little tough for me to get used to the lifestyle here, but in general, I think I'm doing very good, so you don't have to worry about me! I'll keep trying my best in order to achieve my future goal and go on the way I chose!
