This year will be the year of 2020, the last year of this decade. Usually, I celebrate New Year's Eve with my family but this year is quite different for me. The fact that I'm in another country, which is far away from mine, doesn't let me celebrate the holiday with my family.
2019 was a very remarkable year for me. Back to the beginning of the year, when I was still in Vietnam enjoying my break. I had a great time with my family, going to the department stores and having dinner together every day. After the break, I went back to school for only one month before the Lunar New Year came. Our family, including all of my aunts, uncles, and grandparents gathered together. Time went by and a remarkable event happened: I was able to go study abroad in the US. Studying abroad had been my goal since I was a kid, so nothing was happier than being accepted to a school and supported by my family. Here, I was able to make new friends in a whole new environment, which I'd never experienced before. Living with a different community makes me feel a little nervous at first, but I realized that I was much more enjoyable once I get used to it.
2020 has come. In order to achieve my further goals in the future, I'll try to work harder, get in touch with more people to make good relationships, which can help me a lot when I get older. And for my incoming Senior year, I guess it'll be tough for me as I have to work very hard with my college applications as well as in academics. I won't stop working in order to achieve my goals, especially this year, 2020.
